Questions about this pack
Is this the same as the drivers hours rules?
No, and confusing the two is the most common failing we see. Drivers hours limit driving; RT(WTD) limits total working time, including loading, walkaround checks and paperwork. You need to comply with both at once.
Do periods of availability count towards the limits?
Properly recorded periods of availability do not count as working time, which is why the definition and the records sheet matter. Mislabelling work as availability is a finding DVSA looks for.
